An innovative leader, Tara has experience and expertise spanning communications and media in the technology space. Throughout her career, she has led organizations of all sizes to achieve uncharted levels of success through advising on human-centered design, consumer insights, and strategies to achieve digital transformation.
She served in a variety of leadership roles at Cognizant including Global Head of Strategy and Communications for Consulting. Within this role, Tara led talent acquisition strategy, partnership and business development, innovation and client engagement strategies. While at Cognizant, she consulted companies including Telus Health to launch an e-pharmacy, several CMT and Healthcare clients on AI enablement, turned around and strengthened existing client relationships, and supported companies through spearheading Insight to Experience Journey mapping. Her experience additionally includes success as the SVP for Aricent Group where Tara managed organizational change during a $100M business unit’s integration into the company’s “One Aricent” organization. Within this role, she also led the team to drastically turn around business performance and continuously optimized business processes and operations to drive growth.
An empathetic leader, she enjoys building inclusive teams and cultivating positive team cultures. With experience working across four continents, she is a culturally competent leader skilled in supporting employees and teams on a global scale. Throughout her career, she has built meaningful relationships at the individual and team level to enable others to achieve exponential success. Tara is involved in several professional organizations including CHIEF, WICT Greater Texas and WIT. She is passionate about education and serves on the SMU Digital Advisory Board; Emory University Women of Impact Council, and Texas Tech’s Rawls School of College C J Whitehead Speaker Series advisor. Outside of work, she is involved in multiple board roles focused on human rights and various social causes.
