Tara Whitehead Stotland

Tara Stotland is an innovative and results-oriented executive with 20+ years of experience across communications and media. With deep expertise in the technology space, Tara is highly skilled in working with IT and business teams to design strategies and help clients unlock new levels of success through digital acceleration, collaboration, and transformation. Throughout her career, Tara has managed client portfolios and business units valued at $100M+, gaining experience partnering with clients and teams of all sizes and across diverse industries. Since 2016, Tara has served in various progressively responsible roles at Cognizant. In 2021, Tara was tapped to lead the Strategist Pod  for Greenlight, Cognizant’s internal team focused on sales growth and strategy enablement. In addition to partnering with and strengthening relationships with some of the company’s most profitable clients, Tara has built the Strategist Pod with oversight of talent acquisition, hiring, and new business development.

Prior to her success at Cognizant, Tara worked with multiple businesses to continuously grow revenues, improve operations, and acquire new clients. At Aricent Group, Tara was charged with managing change during a $100M business unit’s integration in the company’s “One Aricent” re-organization. At North Highland Company, Tara drove $25M in profitable revenue across the communications sector in under two years.

Tara is highly involved in multiple board and volunteer roles, most notably as a Board Director of Women that Soar and  Past President/Board Director at The WICT Network of Greater Texas.  Championing access and the success of girls and women in STEM, Tara additionally is the President of Women Empowered SELL, Cognizant. In recognition of her work, Tara was recognized with The WICT Network of Greater Texas’s Lifetime Achievement Award for raising women up within the communications industry.

Tara holds a MBA from Goizueta Business School of Emory University, where she also served as Alumni Board President and now serves as an Ambassador and the Women of Impact Board. Tara possesses an International Master of Business Administration from Nyenrode Business University and additionally holds a BBA and BA from Southern Methodist University where she also serves on the Workforce of the Future Advisory Board.
