
As Director of Business Operations, Nikia is responsible for Fleet, Facilities, Capital, and Supply Chain Operations Houston Region of Comcast Corporation. Nikia brings an extensive range of experience to her role, including broad operational expertise; a strong financial background; a deep understanding of the cable industry as well as in depth knowledge of policies and processes specific to both Comcast as well as the overall cable industry.
Nikia is a 24-year veteran of Cable with nearly 18 years spent in multiple roles within Comcast. In various roles within call center operations, customer engagement and quality, retail operations, technical operations, and financial operations, Nikia has been instrumental in the phenomenal growth and development of Comcast as an influential industry leader. Nikia is currently serving as the Immediate Past President of The Greater Texas chapter of Women In Cable and Telecommunications.
Throughout her tenure with Comcast, Nikia has served in numerous capacities including Audit & Compliance, Project Manager in the opening of Comcast’s Enfield, CT 300 seat call center following the acquisition of Susquehanna and Adelphia Communications. In her most recent role, Nikia has successfully increased compliance to business controls while reducing operational inefficacies. Nikia was selected as a 2014 Comcast/NBC Know Your Value recipient and again as a winner of Comcast’s 2018 Circle of Success team award, resulting from her work and accomplishments within the industry.
Prior to joining Comcast in 2004, Nikia held various senior level call center roles for organizations such as Tenet Healthcare, Bellsouth, and Cox Communications where she was honored as a 2004 Emerging Leader, a highly competitive executive development program.
In addition to her professional work with Comcast, Nikia has also spent her personal time giving back to others. In 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018 Nikia led the largest volunteer sites for Comcast Cares Day with more than 1,000 participants. Nikia’s strategy for organizing large groups of volunteers was applauded and adopted by Paula McKenzie, Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving for the Houston Food Bank one of the largest Food Banks in the country.
Nikia is also very active in industry non-profit organizations such as NAMIC where she was a founding member of the Houston chapter who went on to serve as President from 2010 – 2013, growing membership by more than 250% and honored with Best Program and Highest Membership Growth awards during her tenure as NAMIC-Houston Chapter, President. Nikia is a graduate of NAMIC’s prestigious Leadership Development program.
Nikia also served as a Big Sister in the Comcast Big Brothers/Big Sisters beyond school walls as well as a mentor for Junior Achievement for several years. A graduate of Drexel University, Nikia holds a M.S. in Human Resources.
Nikia has been married to her husband Chris for 22 years and in her spare time enjoys traveling with her blended family: Brittany, Chris Jr., Joshua, D’Artagnan, Keziah, Kam’Bri and her granddaughter Adria.
